The WordPress editor and its related functions "strip" tags such as "carriage returns" and other related key strokes. Although this can be frustrating it is also a common occurrence.

The current version of the theme that you are using (v1.4.4.1) does have a CSS property that creates a 10px space between paragraphs, if you wish to have a larger space between your paragraphs you will need to edit that property value (look at line 126 in the style.css file).
<hr class="hr" />
PS: My apologies for not replying sooner. This blog is used more for working examples of my themes and as such I did not have comment notifications turned on ... they are now. EAC

@JC - The "CSS Properties" would be for the new <div> that I suggested creating.

As to posting an "example of the code" that is essentially a custom modification you are looking for and I would suggest reading the our <a href="http://buynowshop.com/wordpress-services/" rel="nofollow">WordPress Services</a> page on our main site. I would be more than happy to review you specific requirements.

Ed, I apologize, but a newbie at this.

Modify Header.php: Not sure what you mean by "wrap the lines inside the logo div with their own classes"

CSS Properties: Which Div?

Could you post in example of the code please so I could insert it?

This would help me exponentially and possibly others too.

Thanks.

I have version: 1.4.4.1 template.

When I post, paragraphs are not separated. I can add 10 carriage returns, but it does not create a space between the paragraphs.

I even tried the HTML option to create spaces between the paragraphs, but this also does not work.

Thanks.

The Desk Mess Mirrored theme is better suited to have a graphic logo on the left or right side of the center card image.

Your other option is to modify the header.php file and wrap the lines inside the logo div with their own class(es), then use CSS properties of <code>{ visibility: hidden; }</code> on each div. This will make the text not appear on the page but still be readable in the source, therefore visible to search engines.

All of these edits will need to be done after every update.

I would like to move the blog title and tag line an inch or more down from its default location on Desk Mess Mirrored since my logo image cannot be seen with the letters in the way.

How do I move them both or remove them completely, but still have the search engine still find the name and description. Thanks.

@Doug - yes, hard-coding your description will work most every time. Just remember, if you update the theme it will likely require you to re-edit the header.php template file.

I found a trick but I had to edit the header file. I removed the PHP call to bloginfo and the description entirely and added a line break and html code to make the fint a different color. Works great for the moment.

@Doug - Currently the tagline does not accept anything for output except standard text. This is an issue I have been reviewing for a while as a potential plugin idea. I'll let you know if I get back to the project and complete the idea.

I need the taglineunder the blog title to wrap to two lines and at a specific point. Is that possible? I tried HTNL code at the point but it didn't didn't seem to work from the General settings page.
